I am a proud Great Aunt who will proudly attest to Ava's amazing wisdom! While playing hide and seek with Elle and Keena last week at the Mountain House I was counting with my eyes closed when I paused 1 2 3 4 .. 8 and Ava chimed in with 9 10.. I uncovered my eyes in disbelief! to find that yes indeed it was little Ava counting. Who knows she might be the next Mastermind in the family! xo Michelle

What a sweet girl. We watched a program a few nights ago where families live out of their cars. The kids who live in the cars were interviewed. I made sure the girls watched with me so they could see how good they have it and how not so good others might have it. We also pray for people who do not have as much quite often. So not to toot my own horn but I am proud some of this has stuck with her,she is a beautiful soul.

Kenna we are so delighted to see that your hard work is being recognized. Johanna is proud of you and we both noticed how tall you are! Well, Ava! You are a beautiful little thing! I can't wait to meet you and see your parents and sisters and brother again. Your Daddy told me to catch up with the modern technology and learn to email him and to feel free to put comments on your Family Blog, so, here is my first. I hope you sleep well at night and let Mommy get some rest. Maybe Daddy can get up with you the first few nights you are home. Or, maybe he can lie in bed with you resting on his chest like I did with your Aunt Meagan when she was born. She used to create a little drool pool in my neck under my chin. You could do that for your Daddy and he will find out how sweet you smell and how quiet you are as you listen to his heartbeat. I love you Ava, will see you soon. Grampy Keenan

I love the bribing with gum. We've already realized that a Dum Dums lollipop can do wonders in our house with Alena. If we give in and let her have one, all of a sudden, there's no yelling, and things get done. Smart kids!
